Your first connection
Set up your adapter while parked safely. Check the instructions supplied with your exact adapter before starting.
- Check the wired connection. Confirm that your phone already works with the relevant wired CarPlay or Android Auto system through the vehicle’s USB data port. A charge-only port or Bluetooth audio connection is not enough.
- Connect the adapter. Insert the integrated USB-A connector into the compatible USB data port used by your in-car system.
- Follow the supplied pairing instructions. Use the prompts on your phone and in-car display. Complete any connection permissions while parked.
- Check the experience. Test your supported navigation, music and audio functions before driving. Reconnection behaviour can vary by vehicle, head unit and phone.
Need a hand?
If the adapter is not detected, confirm you are using the correct data port and that your original wired system still works. Restart your phone and in-car system safely, then follow the supplied setup instructions again.
Do not install firmware from an unverified source. Contact us before changing firmware or advanced settings.
